This is the coolest, Don. Reminds me of the watches that show their workings. This is like a geometric abstract piece.

Don Struke replied:

Yep, you're right about the visible watch effect. It's built to an exceptionally high level of craftsmanship and I wanted my altered colorization to emphasize that. I appreciate your comment, considering your own exceptional artistry.

Artist's Description

Usually considered as the car that started the Detroit pony car era, the 1964 Pontiac GTO was one hot ride. For about $3,200 you got a 389 cubic inch engine with 325 horsepower (or the tri-carburetor 348 horsepower option for a few hundred dollars more) in a car built for fast driving. Pontiac said, "To be perfectly honest, the GTO is not everyone's cup of tea. Its suspension is firm, tuned more to the open road than to wafting gently over bumpy city streets. Its dual exhausts won't win any prizes for whispering. And, unless you order it with our lazy 3.08 low-ratio rear axle, its gas economy won't be anything to write home about." Back then, who cared about fuel economy?
NOTE: The Fine Art watermark visible in preview windows is not on any print.

About Don Struke

Although I don't call myself a photographer, I have taken thousands of photos through the years and now and then I end up with one that is printworthy. Well, at least by my standards, which might be somewhat less than the norm. But you are the judge (continued below). PLEASE CLICK ON AD TO LEARN ABOUT THIS SITE I'm fortunate enough to have enjoyed a rather varied background in marketing, advertising, public relations, print and electronic media, TV production, and publication design in both corporate and non-profit organizations. As my list of photos on Fine Art America slowly grows, it should be apparent that my interests are all over the place, from the sight of beautiful flowers and landscapes to aviation and high performance...
