Many thanks to the buyer in Knoxville for choosing this card. Sadie (in the photo) is lying at my feet while I write this. Happy Holidays!

awwww Don....sadie is so cute. She has really nice markings. She looks so cute all snug in her comfy bed. Corgis always like to prop their heads up on things, my corgis have always done that. Thanks for being a great guy for rescueing this sweet corgi.

Don Struke replied:

Thank you, Ann! All credit goes to our teenaged daughter who found her, trained her (agility and AKC) and made her a very important part of our family. I am positive that you personally know the feeling!

AWWWWW OFF IN DOGGIE DREAMLAND. VERY PRECIOUS AND CUTE, DON. GREAT ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE SHEETS AND PILLOWS.

Don Struke replied:

I like her little Corgi paw peeking out, as if she patted the cover in place.

Don Struke replied:

I just realized this reminds me of "Chessie", the sleeping kitten that was featured in Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad ads and appeared as the C&O logo.

I stand corrected: "She" looks so comfy!

Thank you, Cathy. That's our rescue Corgi, Sadie, and I took that up in Rhode Island where we were participating - well, our daughter and Sadie were - in an AKC dog show. Yep, she was soooound asleep.

He looks so comfy under the covers. I love this!

Artist's Description

If you saw the opening of the 2012 Olympics, you saw that Queen Elizabeth has owned Corgis for years (no, those weren't Daniel Craig's/James Bond's dogs). This little girl is not one of them but she sure is sleeping like a princess. Photographed in a Warwick, Rhode Island, hotel (we were there for an American Kennel Club dog show). She is a rescue dog that my daughter trained and they have done quite well.
NOTE: The Fine Art watermark visible in preview windows is not on any print.

About Don Struke

Don Struke

Although I don't call myself a photographer, I have taken thousands of photos through the years and now and then I end up with one that is printworthy. Well, at least by my standards, which might be somewhat less than the norm. But you are the judge (continued below). PLEASE CLICK ON AD TO LEARN ABOUT THIS SITE I'm fortunate enough to have enjoyed a rather varied background in marketing, advertising, public relations, print and electronic media, TV production, and publication design in both corporate and non-profit organizations. As my list of photos on Fine Art America slowly grows, it should be apparent that my interests are all over the place, from the sight of beautiful flowers and landscapes to aviation and high performance...
