A stunning scene! Love your vast gallery of cars too.

Don Struke replied:

Oh, Krystyna, thank you, very much. Good to hear from you again and I just had to revisit your gothic gate. Wish I were in the UK so I could order up a few of those cakes!

What vibrant colors and lighting, Don! There's an incredible energy you've captured with the dancing ferns and swaying trees celebrating life around the fallen tree! John Muir would love this photo!! :-) Thanks for visiting my gallery and posting such nice comments!

Don Struke replied:

Marie, thank you so much for your generous comments. Having looked at a number of your own images, I appreciate it even more.

Artist's Description

With one limb seemingly flung upwards in farewell, a soon-to-be-forgotten tree lies in its final resting place. Inevitably every giant redwood and other trees must join this toppled victim of age and weather in John Muir Woods National Park, California. NOTE: The Fine Art America watermark seen in the preview windows does not appear on actual prints.

About Don Struke

Don Struke

Although I don't call myself a photographer, I have taken thousands of photos through the years and now and then I end up with one that is printworthy. Well, at least by my standards, which might be somewhat less than the norm. But you are the judge (continued below). PLEASE CLICK ON AD TO LEARN ABOUT THIS SITE I'm fortunate enough to have enjoyed a rather varied background in marketing, advertising, public relations, print and electronic media, TV production, and publication design in both corporate and non-profit organizations. As my list of photos on Fine Art America slowly grows, it should be apparent that my interests are all over the place, from the sight of beautiful flowers and landscapes to aviation and high performance...
