Description
In the late 1950s and early 1960s Detroit thought if it didn\'t have tail fins, it wasn\'t a real car. Or something like that. Photographed in Hershey, Pa., at the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum, a wonderful presentation of an outstanding variety of motor vehicles. Yes, it has motorcycles. These particular cars were there for the museum\'s - you guessed it - cars with tail fins exhibit, although I'm sure that was not its official name.

And what is more beautiful than a tail fin? A collage of tail fins as shown here. Beautiful, Don.
Don Struke replied:
Thank you, Sharon! A lot of people (some are experts) regard this era of Detroit design as a highwater mark simply because of all the fins and acres of chrome. Well, not acres, but enough of it. Look at that Olds on the lower left and the Buick, top center.
