Description
I don't know for sure but I believe the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Company (Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne since 2005) has produced more radial aircraft engines than any other company in the world. These extremely reliable powerplants were used in a majority of World War Two American airplanes and if you're lucky enough to see and hear a B-24, a Corsair, a C-47, or many, many other airplanes, that sound is P&W at work. Photographed at the Mid-Atlantic Aviation Museum (MAAM) at the Reading, Pennsylvania, airport. NOTE: The Fine Art watermark visible in preview windows is not on any print.
